Redshift of Galaxies

Very early in its history, the whole Universe was very hot. As it expanded, this heat left behind a "glow" that fills the entire Universe. The Big Bang theory not only predicts that this glow should exist, but that it should be visible as microwaves (part of the Electromagnetic Spectrum).

This is the Cosmic Microwave Background which has been accurately measured and is very good evidence that the Big Bang theory is correct.

Mixture of Elements

As the Universe expanded and cooled down, some of the elements that we see today were created. The Big Bang theory predicts how much of each element should have been made, and what we see in very distant galaxies and old stars is just right.

(You cannot look in new stars like the Sun as new elements are made in stars and so the amount of each one is different in new stars than the old ones made when the Universe was much younger).

Looking back in Time

The main alternative theory to the Big Bang theory of the Universe is called the Steady State theory.

In this theory, the Universe does not change very much with time.

Remeber that because light takes a long time to travel across the Universe, when we look at very distant galaxies, we are also looking back in time.

From this we can see that galaxies a long time ago were quite different from those today, showing that the Universe has changed. This fits better with the Big Bang theory than the Steady State theory.

Does the Holy Quran mention the Big Bang ?

Allah says in the Holy Quran what means "Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth Were joined together (sewn together) (as one Unit of Creation and then We unstitched (clove  them )  and that We made from water every living thing? So will they not believe? (Qur'an, 21:30) "

The verse says clearly that the facts about the creation of the universe will be discovered by the unbelievers , these facts were actually discovered by non-Moslems . Moreover the verse calls the atheists to rethink again over their unsubstantiated claim .

The Holy Quran uses just two words to sum up all what have been written to describe the Big Bang ; the Arabic word  "ratq" (rendered in English  "sewn ") means "mixed in each or blended" . It is used to refer to the state of the universe before being exploded . The Quranic word ( Ratek ) is what referred to in modern science as " one mass "

The phrase "we unstitched" , that is ,"fataqa" in Arabic implies that something comes into being by tearing apart or destroying the structure of things that are sewn to one another. The word is used to describe the beginning of creation in the Holy Quran ; it is ,along with all its implication , is in conformity with the meanings of the Big Bang .

In other words , when we think about the first moments of the Big Bang, we see that the entire matter of the universe was collected at one single point. In other words, everything-including "the heavens and earth" which were not created yet were in an interwoven and inseparable condition. Then, this point exploded violently, causing its matter to disunite.

Unlike the meanings of the big bang , the Quranic words denote system , wisdom , creativity while the words Big Bang , a term invented by scientists , implies random chaos . So now the Holy Quran , in the question of theism . gives the proof that the universe is not eternal and is in conformity with astrophysics . A book like this , revealed in a time when the best knowledge a bout universe proved to be superstition , gives accurate precise facts that are scientifically and widely accepted . It also gives credence to the prophet-hood of Mohummed , who was unlettered and neither could he read or could he write . If that prophet was imposter or counterfeiter , how dare he indulge himself in matters that don't concern the people of his age .

Here you can understand the miraculous use of the word in the Holy Quran , Allah says in the Holy Quran what means " Say: if the ocean were ink (wherewith to write out) the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my Lord, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid. ( AL-Kahf:109)

Allah says in the Holy Quran what means" And if all the trees on earth were pens and the Ocean (were ink), with seven Oceans behind it to add to its (supply), yet would not the Words of Allahbe exhausted (in the writing): for Allahis Exalted in power, full of Wisdom. ( Lokman :27)

Thanks in part to NASA research, law enforcement now has better "teeth" to take a bite out of crime.

A tire deflation device (TDD) is a strip that contains embedded metal spikes. The strip is thrown over the road in front of a speeding vehicle, deflating the tires and forcing it to stop. This device lets law enforcement stop a speeding vehicle safely, often without the need of a dangerous high-speed pursuit.

The goal of the design is to keep spikes attached to the strip unless a tire runs over them. In reality, spikes that didn't puncture the tires were often knocked loose by fleeing cars and trucks, scattering across the road and creating a potential problem for other motorists, plus a clean-up nuisance for police officers.

NASA teamed with Phoenix International, Ltd., of Brookfield, Wisconsin to develop a better engineering solution to keep the unused spikes in place while still allowing the strip to have puncture power. NASA's Plum Brook Station's facilities tested the MagnumSpike! tire deflation device, manufactured and marketed by Phoenix. Researchers concluded that the retention clip on the strip couldn't reliably hold all of the spikes in place.

NASA engineers worked to improve the performance of the retention clip, and the results were passed to a Cleveland-based engineering firm as part of additional testing. Based on the analysis, NASA and the engineering firm recommended a new pin shear method, which Phoenix used to develop a new, friction-free retain-release clip.

Since then, MagnumSpike! has been field tested and proven to swiftly and safely stop everything from 18-wheelers to compact vehicles -- even those with self-sealing and run-flat tires. The technology has an impressive 100-percent safety record and 100-percent take-down record in deflating all tires that have come across its path. In some cases, fleeing suspects have seen the spike strip, skidded to a halt, and simply surrendered. Now that's crime prevention.

No one knows why we yawn. There are lots of theories, some talk about it signalling tiredness or getting oxygen to the brain, others mention clearing out stale air from the lungs and reducing blood carbon dioxide levels. Most are baloney. But, one thing that is certain, yawns can be infectious. Catch sight of someone yawning and nine times out of ten, you will yawn yourself within a few seconds. Is such an infectious yawn a message to others in the group that it’s time for bed? Probably not, otherwise why yawn first thing on getting out of bed? Either way researchers have found that people with autism spectrum disorder don’t tend to succumb to an infectious yawn.

Atsushi Senju of the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development at Birkbeck, University of London has shown for the first time that children with some degree of autism are not susceptible to contagious yawning. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disability that severely affects social interaction and communication including empathy. Report published in the August issue of the Royal Society journal Biology Letters.

This would seem an obvious result given that contagious yawning is thought to share similar cognitive and neural mechanisms as empathy.

Senju and colleagues from the University of Tokyo showed videos of people yawning or making mouth movements to 24 children with autism spectrum disorder and to 25 non-ASD children. Both groups of children yawned the same number of times while watching the video of general mouth movements, but the non-ASD children yawned more when watching the video of people yawning.

“This is the first report that a neuropsychological or psychiatric condition can selectively impair contagious yawning, sparing spontaneous yawning,” explains Senju, “Our study confirms the prediction of ‘empathy theory’, by demonstrating that individuals with autism, who show atypical developments in empathy, also show selective impairment in contagious yawning.”

None of this answers the question of why do we yawn in the first place? Apparently, yawning becomes contagious at around one to two years of age, although unborn fetuses also yawn (presumably not contagiously though!) and can be triggered in animals by stimulating the hypothalamus in the brain with injected dopamine, excitatory amino acids, nitric oxide, and neuropeptides. None of this really explains why we yawn. The empathy angle perhaps points to an ancient benefit in group behaviour, but what that benefit is, science does not yet know.

Was iron formed in the earth ?

It is thought that the earth was once a part of the sun and then separated , so scientists thought that iron was formed in the sun but this supposition proved to be wrong because the surface heat temperature of the sun is 6000 Celsius degrees while the temperature of the core ranges from 15 million to 16 millions Celsius and in this degree , though high , is not enough to form an iron atom . The whole temperature of the solar system is not sufficient to produce elemental iron .

The observable universe is composed of hydrogen (74%) and Helium (24%) ,while the other 105 elements form (2%).On studying the sun ,scientists found that it is only hydrogen and Helium that are there , it is known that hydrogen atoms fuse together to form helium and the sun nuclear reaction will remain as so till the sun runs out of hydrogen then begins to change into red giant where it will swallow the moon and the other planet . The Holy Quran records this cosmic event in its verses before science .

God says in the Holy Quran what means""And when the moon and the Sun are joined together "

The Sun is just a ball of gas that will never fuse into iron and the scientific studies show no evidence of iron formation in the sun and as a result the iron in the earth was formed else . Iron needs a temperature of 600 million degrees to be formed . Scientists say that such a degree can not be found in any star but in the stars  whose mass is three times bigger than the earth . In these stars the nuclear fusion starts with changing hydrogen into helium and the nuclear fusion goes on till iron is formed , iron can not be fused into any other heavier elements as it has the most binding energy , iron atom needs energy to be formed so the equilibrium inside the star is lost and the star explodes as a supernova where meteorites loaded with iron and other elements were sent down to the earth and other planets.

So iron did come from the outer space. God says in the Holy Quran what means "

"He sent iron, wherein is mighty power and (many) uses for mankind " ( Iron :25)

It was only when the earth was like a heap of ash that it was bombarded with iron meteorite , because of the high density of iron it found its way towards the core of the earth .

God in His holy verse reminds us of His favours to us that He sent down iron , though there are many other elements He sent, the question is why God mentioned iron and not of other elements .

The answer is given by a well-known microbiologist Michael Denton , In his book Nature’s Destiny, he says "Of all the metals there is none more essential to life than iron. It is the accumulation of iron in the center of a star which triggers a supernova explosion and the subsequent scattering of the vital atoms of life throughout the cosmos. It was the drawing by gravity of iron atoms to the center of the primeval earth that generated the heat which caused the initial chemical differentiation of the earth, the outgassing of the early atmosphere, and ultimately the formation of the hydrosphere. It is molten iron in the center of the earth which, acting like a gigantic dynamo, generates the earth’s magnetic field, which in turn creates the Van Allen radiation belts that shield the earth’s surface from destructive high-energy-penetrating cosmic radiation and preserve the crucial ozone layer from cosmic ray destruction…

Without the iron atom, there would be no carbon-based life in the cosmos; no supernovae, no heating of the primitive earth, no atmosphere or hydrosphere. There would be no protective magnetic field, no Van Allen radiation belts, no ozone layer, no metal to make hemoglobin [in human blood], no metal to tame the reactivity of oxygen, and no oxidative metabolism.

The intriguing and intimate relationship between life and iron, between the red color of blood and the dying of some distant star, not only indicates the relevance of metals to biology but also the biocentricity of the cosmos… "

A Numeric Miracle

This is a remarkably some modern findings of science already mentioned in the Holy Quran. So many articles were written about this miracle and proves that The Holy Quran is revealed by God … there will be new discoveries in the horizon of many miracles will be found ..I think the features in the Holy Quran that remained unknown will give more significant meanings.

The Holy Quran is like the fabric of the universe , every letters , every word and every Surah are in accordance to some numeric miracles. Scientists are now doing their best to find out more about the Holy Book . For example there is a numeric miracle in the Holy Quran concerning iron .

Surat al-Hadid 25, which refers to iron, contains two rather interesting mathematical codes.

“Al- Hadid” is the 57th surah in the Qur’an. The abjad of the word “Al-Hadid” in Arabic, when the numerological values of its letters are added up, is also 57.

The numerological value of the word “hadid” alone is 26. And 26 is the atomic number of iron
